Che Tango is an Argentinean tango ensemble featuring Mario Vázquez (bandoneón), Chris Dorsey (guitar), Andrea Hounjet (flute), Nelly Rocha (cello), and Pedro Pérez (guitar). This ensemble specializes in the traditional music of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the surrounding Río Plata area. Their repertoire includes classic tangos, milongas, and waltzes from the great tango composers including: Aníbal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Ángel Villoldo, Eduardo Arolas, Agustín Bardi, Juan Carlos Cobián, Julio De Caro, Carlos Gardel, Mariano Mores, Julián Plaza, and Astor Piazzolla.
This beautiful music called tango covers a vast array of emotions—nostalgic and tragic, dark and passionate, sometimes playful and full of joy. Truly, Che Tango is a delight for the feet as well as the ears.
